The application is available for free download, devoid of advertisements or in-app purchases. All content has been created by renowned literacy nonprofits including Curious Learning, CET, and Apps Factory.

Development Background: 
The game is informed by extensive research into literacy science, incorporating vital skills such as Phonological Awareness, Letter Recognition, Phonics, Vocabulary, and Sight Word Reading. This robust foundation aims to support children's reading journey. Additionally, the game's design encourages the development of empathy and perseverance through nurturing virtual monsters.

Our Background: 
Feed The Monster was initiated with funding from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of the EduApp4Syria competition. The original Arabic version was created through a collaboration between Apps Factory, CET – The Center for Educational Technology, and the International Rescue Committee (IRC).

The English adaptation was undertaken by Curious Learning, a nonprofit focused on enhancing access to effective literacy resources. Our team comprises researchers, developers, and educators committed to providing high-quality literacy education tailored to children's native languages. We aspire to expand the reach of Feed The Monster by incorporating over 100 impactful languages worldwide.
